Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about Rising Sons.
About the programme
Rising Sons is a year-long programme designed for boys aged 8-10 and their fathers. Through monthly sessions, we create a space for play, conversation, challenge and connection, helping boys grow in confidence, empathy and self-awareness while strengthening the father-son bond.
This age is a pivotal time in a boy's development. They're becoming more aware of the world around them, forming their identity, and starting to navigate more complex social and emotional situations. It's also a time when the father-son relationship can deepen in meaningful ways.
Each two-hour session includes a mix of active play, storytelling, group challenges and reflective conversation. Sessions are designed to be engaging, fun and meaningful, with plenty of opportunities for fathers and sons to connect both with each other and the wider group.
Rising Sons runs for 12 months, with one session per month. This year-long journey allows relationships to deepen, skills to develop, and a genuine sense of community to form.
Practical questions

Sessions run on Saturday afternoons, from 3pm to 5pm. The specific schedule for each location will be confirmed before the programme begins.

No, we're unable to offer refunds or credits for individual missed sessions. All session dates are planned around school holidays to minimise clashes, and the full schedule is shared before the programme begins so families can plan ahead.
Getting involved
When we say father, we include biological fathers, step-fathers, adoptive fathers, grandfathers, uncles, or any trusted male guardian who plays a significant role in a boy's life. What matters is the relationship and commitment, not the biological connection.
Due to the nature of the programme, we can only accommodate one father-son pair per family in each cohort. This ensures each boy receives dedicated one-to-one attention from their father throughout the sessions. Please contact us to discuss your options.
You can register your interest through our sign-up page. Once registration opens for the April/May 2026 cohorts, we'll contact everyone who has expressed interest with full details.
